Prevention is better than cure is the main theme behind the teaching of the Departmental teachers. The subject is made more practical & creative through educational tours, camps & school health checkups. Every year student visits to various health institutions, Water treatment plants and sewage clearance plants, Primary Health Care and Voluntary Organizations etc to learn the practical aspects of the subject. Free medical camps are arranged in and around Tambaram and near by villages to provide health education & medical aid to patients. Improved skills in Planning and providing services for the Promotion, Maintenance Monitoring and Restoration of Health for the individuals, Families and Communities at large. Students are encouraged to participate in various health and social welfare activities in association with N.S.S wing of the college.
