Department of Siddha Maruthuva Adipadai Thathu Vangalum Varalarum (History & Fundamental Principles of Siddha Medicine)
It deals with Fundamental principles of Siddha Medicine with detailed
description of philosophical concept of Porul Nirnayam three premedical and
eternal entities (pathi, pasu, pasam), Three humoural theory (Vali, Azhal & Iyam)
seven physical constituents, five basic properties of drug, diets, fasting theory,
thokkanam (Physical manipulation) fomentation process, Alchemy, muppu,
Kayakalpam (Elixir science), Purgative therapy, Emetic Therapy, Steam Therapy,
Philters, poisons, Natural urges (Vekangal) principles of Treatment.
It further deals with History of Tamilnadu including Three Tamil academics and
History of Siddhars like Agasthiyar, Thirumoolar, Therayar, Bohar, Yugimuni etc.,
It also deals with Astanga yogam and qualities of a good physician. |

Department of Uyirvedhiyal (Bio Chemistry)
It deals with the study of chemistry of carbohydrates lipids,
protein, Enzymes, Digestion, metabolim, DNA,RNA, Vitamins, hormones, minerals,
water electrolyte balance, plasma proteins, immunoglobulins, energy and nutrition, Bio - chemistry
of cancer and AIDS, Principles and applications of renal, gastric, thyroid, liver
functions etc.,
We are having a well equipped Bio-Chemistry lab and modern Bio-Chemical
equipments with all infrastructures. The students are provided with separate
working tables to do the practicals and are doing the practicals, handling the
apparatus individually under one supervision of highly qualified professors and
technicians. |

Department of Anatomy
It deals with the study of cytology and embryology with applied anatomy, Histology,
Osteology, Joints, Mycology, Oncology, Lymphatic system, Nervous system,
Respiratory system, Digestive system, Urogenital system, Endocrinology, organs of
special senses and dissection of whole Human dead body (Cadaver).
We are having a well equipped Anatomy lab with all infrastructures like skeletons,
many sets of bones, soft parts etc.,
Anatomy Dissection Hall is spacious and there are enough cadavers for Dissections.
Dissection of Human Body is done in our Anatomy Department. Students can study
the dissected parts in our Anatomy Lab at anytime to enhance their knowledge. |

Department of Physiology
Deals with elaborate study of siddha physiology and Modern physiology in full.
Experienced Teaching staffs are handling the subject. We are having a well
equipped physiology Laboratory with all infrastructures. Each student is provided
with separate microscope and other instruments for physiology practicals. Students
are allowed to enhance their knowledge by conducting practicals frequently. |
