Homeopathy is based on a natural law called “Similia similibus curentur” which means “let likes be cured by likes”. Homeopathic remedies use minute amounts of substances to act as a trigger to the body and stimulate its natural immune system. In practice this means an animal can have a so called fatal illness but have an immune system that with the right homeopathic trigger can overcome the illness.

Homoeopathy comes under alternative system of medicine. The founder of homoeopathy is Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, a German.
Homoeopathy has cure for most of the diseases of modern era, best example is available in Chickengunya -  Allopathy medicine had no answer for this disease
Homoeopathy is the best effective mode of treatment with "NO SIDE EFFECTS" of drugs. There is no drug allergy. There are no food restrictions required. It is best suited to infants / children and even old people.

B.H.M.S. course is at par with M.B.B.S. as most of the subjects are common to each other. B.H.M.S. course is of 5 ½ years duration [4 ½ + 1 year compulsory internship]. The college has well qualified faculty members.
All the laboratories are well-equipped and maintained. The students are given proper practical and clinical training.  For better clinical exposure the students attend clinical classes at Tambaram Homoeopathic Hospital and peripheral centres.  They also attend lot of medical camps. On a rotator basis, all the interns are given chance to work under leading homoeopathic practitioners in and around Chennai.
Regular guest lectures are held; students participate in seminars both held at State as well as National level.
