The Department of Pathology is facilitated with teaching in microbiology, parasitology, immunohematology, Clinical pathology and Hematology. The Department has Diagnostic and teaching responsibilities. The Diagnostic section includes histopathology, cytology, hematology, immunopathology. The Department is involved in teaching basic pathology for undergraduate medical students. The faculties are actively involved in conducting small group teaching, vertical and horizontal integrated teaching apart from didactic lectures and practicals .The Department has a well equipped library with departmental library. Various charts & preserved specimens are kept in the laboratory that facilitates students to gain practical knowledge. Teaching through microscopic study of different pathological specimen is carried out under supervision of experienced faculty.
